Emrys Health brings together public sector leaders, researchers, technologists and contributors who believe the future of health technology should be open, trustworthy and shaped in the public interest.
Rather than delivering a single product, we convene a community effort to define standards, develop reusable components and embed assurance into the foundations of health technology across the UK.
Why we exist
Health and care services are under increasing pressure to modernise, share data safely and deliver better outcomes. Yet progress is often constrained by fragmented systems, rising complexity and digital foundations that public organisations do not fully control.
Short-term solutions can accelerate delivery, but they frequently increase long-term dependency, limit interoperability and move strategic control away from the health system itself.
